Abstract

Goethe’s house at the Frauenplan in Weimar was not only the poet’s private residence, but also an archival space for his artistic and scientific collections as well as for his manuscripts. In these rooms Goethe developed his project of a dynamic archive that would create an infinite in continuous movement throughout the relations and constellations of a finite number of objects.
