Abstract

This essay is a critical analysis of the translation and ideas of Rossend Arques on Petrarca's 'Secretum'. An open dialogue is proposed on how can to contribute modern theories, such as Hermeneutics of Desire, to throw light upon the meaning of Petrarca's work, as well as how this lecture can be combined with others in contrast.
