Following the acquisition of the collection of historical samples of Fabriano papers by the watermark scholar Augusto Zonghi, the Fedrigoni Fabriano Foundation initiated Corpus Chartarum Fabriano project in 2017. The project envisages the identification, cataloguing and digitalization of the papers produced in Fabriano over a period of seven centuries. In 2021, on the occasion of Dante's year, the Fedrigoni Fabriano Foundation wanted to explore the role played by the Fabriano paper in the dissemination of Dante Alighieri's works.
