Abstract

The essay is divided into three parts: in the first it offers an overview of the most recent studies dedicated to archives in person, in the disciplinary field of Italianistics and in that of Archivistics; in the second it outlines a biographical profile of the subject producing the archive; in the last one some observations on the archive are made.
