A large number of texts, manuscripted or printed, were built to be put up on wall or in other pubblic spaces. Between them, some very remarkable were those used to announce literary duels promoted by different institutions, on the occasion of frequent baroque celebrations. Once the competition was finished, the proposed poetry were also exhibited on ephemeral architecture, erected in that occasion. The paper analizes both textual dimensions of posters: it will be observed their formal caracteristics, their graphic layout, the language, the contents and their ambit of publication. It ends reflecting on the way
these texts are acknowledged from modern age.
