The essay aims to examine the impact of the first Italian Book Exhibition, held in Buenos Aires in 1927, on the Argentinian cultural environment of the time. Through the analysis of several archival documents and a variety of articles published in the local press and Italian journals and newspapers, the research reconstructs the stages of the events’ organization and realization, highlighting the context in which the different actors involved worked for its success.
