This essay deals with the publishing history of 'Cuore' in France. The editorial account of what is probably the most famous work by Edmondo De Amicis, shows how this masterpiece, born as a piece of Italian literature for children, has attained, by following the various editions (from the first Italian: Milan, Treves, 1886), an enduring success even in France.
