Abstract

In Italy, the role of the school librarian teacher is not legally recognised, so they face several difficulties in their position within the school context. However, their experience as an educator and teacher is an advantage for their work in the school library. After the playful phase, the discussion activity would have included a reflection on the most relevant facts of the last twenty-five years about the lack of professional recognition. As there was insufficient time for an exchange of ideas, the commentary on the data reported in the contribution is an ideal extension of the activity.
